Within the cleaning technology field, one differentiates between the four different basic processes: sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing and high pressure cleaning.
Basic tools used for mechanical cleaning are, rotating brushes and vacuuming airflow (suction). The most important floor cleaning machine groups are sweeping machines, vacuum cleaners and sweepers, floor scrubbers, single and multiple disc machines, layer removal machines and spray extraction machines. In the area of high pressure cleaning, high pressure water jets are used as a cleaning tool. A difference is made in this process between high pressure cleaning (25 – 250 bar) and maximum pressure cleaning (more than 250 bar).
